Since the “WordPress Monkeys” put so much time putting this together for me, I figured I might as well pass along the fruits of their labor to all of you. Not too shabby for my first 6 months online, but things are only looking up from here!
Once again, thank you all for following me over the past months. I really do love doing this and I’m glad to have the chance to not only share my opinions with you but to actually have people interested. An extra special thank you to my top commenters, Committed to Celluloid, Movies and Music, Andy Watches Movies, Fast Film Reviews, and Dan the Man Movie Reviews.
Here’s an excerpt:
4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 42,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 10 Film Festivals

Not too shabby my friend! Keep up the great work.
Thanks
Congratulations! The busiest day of the year was December 29th with 1,298 views. That’s incredible. What’s your secret?
Search Engine Optimization and using really specific tags. I also get some views through google image searches through the screenshots I post w/ my reviews, but it’s mostly figuring out what sort of tags are getting me referrals from google and adapting my tagging to those results
How have you got that many views, your secrets I want them now!
Search Engine optimization seems to be working pretty well for me, it’s not consistant at all but it still helps
How do you do that? Pardon my ignorance.
I have that, not getting your kind of views!
lol, it seriously seems like Google picks it’s top search entries out of a hat sometimes, my response to that is basically shotgunning tags and pictures to make it all the more likely that one of them will wind up giving me a return. Oddly enough the two other top posts on my site are nearly entirely referred to by google image searches; my natural born killers review and my spotlight on Bane.
Very impressive stats! Thrilled to be the top commenter
I’m very glad to have discovered your blog this 2012. Hope 2013 brings great things!
Thanks Fernando, Same t you
